Event venue opens this summer

MOUNDRIDGE — A new place to celebration — either it be for a marriage reception, graduation, family reunion or other eventuality — is opening this summer in Moundridge.


“I did marriage cakes for a series of years, so we saw there was a need for this facility,” pronounced owners Denise Neubauer.


After looking to build on her family’s farming property, Neubauer motionless to instead transform an existent structure that was located where guest would not have to expostulate down sand roads. Cloud Nine Venue will be located during 205 S. Avenue A in Moundridge.


“It was an automotive shop, yet it’s usually 3 years old, so it’s solid,” Neubauer said. “There’s copiousness of parking everywhere out there. People don’t have to park in a sand or a sand or a field.”


Customers will be authorised to move in their possess decorations and food, yet Neubauer will yield a list of endorsed vendors on request.


“We’re perplexing to make it a small opposite than some of a others,” Neubauer said. “I’m excited. we can see it in my head, now we need to see it down there.”


Heritage Home Works of Newton is doing a remodeling of a 2,800 block feet building, that will be meridian controlled, have restrooms and a kitchenette.


“It’s going to have a bar area,” Neubauer said. “We’ll have tables, chairs, tablecloths and chair covers accessible for lease.”


Corrugated metal, wooden beams and clear chandeliers will accent a space that can accommodate 200 people.


“It’ll be kind of unfair chic,” Neubauer said. “I wish it to be lovely.”


Further renovations, including a further of an outside square and seating and a place to underline a 1890s car is designed for when Neubauer’s father earnings from portion in a U.S. Army Reserve in Afghanistan this fall.


“When he comes back, we’ll supplement on utterly a bit more,” Neubauer said.


Cloud Nine Venue is scheduled to have a initial remodeling finished by mid-May, and already has several events requisitioned by a finish of a year.

Neubauer also wants Cloud Nine Venue to horde city-wide events and fundraisers when it is not requisitioned for other parties.


“Moundridge has been so inexhaustible and kind to us,” Neubauer said. “I wish to turn concerned in a community.”
